Our Puno is cultivated in Peru by ancestors of the Incas in the jungle not far from Lake Titicaca. Here the coffee beans grow slowly in the shade of bananas, limes and yucca plants, are harvested by hand and washed with spring water. Then our roaster tickles the flowery acidity and nutty nuances out of the raw beans. This is why the Puno has already been awarded the gold medal by the German Roasters' Guild for its quality! It works with almost all coffee and espresso machines.
The variety comes from a network of micro-farmers who are among the best coffee farmers in the world and have already received several awards. As a cooperative, it strengthens direct trade and works closely with the Rain Forrest Alliance to protect the local rainforest and its biodiversity. These beans are 100% pure Single Origin Arabica beans and certified organic (DE-ÖKO-037)
